It is a great, great post. Because within that piece are a lot of fundamental truths as to the nature of the new landscape that is unfolding in front of us... In fact that only thing we currently lack, as Kevin rightly points out, is an accepted name for the process that is currently engulfing us all. Digital collectivism? Dot.Communism? ...

  Many, many moons ago - it was probably only last month, but it feels like many, many moons ago - we wittered on about atoms. And quarks. And CERN. And soup. http://outwithabang.rickwaghorn.co.uk/?p=96� But having now had a week or so to watch how www.addiply.com might work, there were one or two passages in that post that somehow echoed down the line. 'For me, that discussion is not too dissimilar to the one we’ve been having about the future of the web - that what was once this neatly-ordered and effectively enslaved audience to our old media ways has dissolved into “a primordial soup” ...

  We're not going to do daily updates from www.thisfrenchlife.com as our www.addiply.com beta trial continues apace, but it is still a fascinating exercise to see how it develops. Certainly we ought to record every time a little milestone comes and goes. So, for example, the fact that - courtesy of the arrival today of the North Dordogne-based EcoPower people, http://www.ecopower.eu.com/ - we've now knocked off one of Craig's original six advertisers and his FrenchLife 'bid' market has duly gone from 50p per 1,000 views to 51p per 1,000. So somewhere 'down below' - where the seventh 'window' might have been - is someone ...
