The trouble with our AOL being down – and it’s now BT’s fault, apparently – is that I’m now having to work from a new ‘office’, aka the cafe at Morrison’s, Beccles.
Cos Loddon being a conservation area, we don’t do mobile phone signals either. So the 3G data card doesn’t work either…
Put the two together and my attempts to keep a lid on our spam-folder-come-comments queue swiftly flies over the four-figure mark.
So it’s just as well, perhaps, that our Neil has been a-tinkering again beneath the bonnet of late and we’ve now got ourselves a little #-tag Twitter thing going on… scroll down beneath the blogroll and the archive and there’s our latest baby, ‘#OWAB’.
So if there’s anything here that ever floats your boat and you want to drop in a comment, link us all across to a tiny url or whatever, basically – just add a little #OWAB action to your tweet and we’ll all be the wiser.
Not the full ‘backchat’ baby, but same ideas at work.
Same community engagement stuff – just as we see it working on www.mylocalwriter.com/norwich/nr2.
Only then we’d add a ‘#nr2′ tag to keep both the breaking news and the community conversation flowing.
So there we go announcement made; if you’ve got something to shout about that’s relevant to this little new media community of ours, feel free to give it the #OWAB treatment.
Cos I ain’t about to sit in the coffee shop at Morrisons (Beccles) for two hours sifting through spam.
