And as I read through his latest thoughts on the truly alarming state of the US newspaper industry, there was one little line that stood out. By quite some way.   I've long fallen out of touch with the internal politics at Archant Towers; I do, however, have a vague memory of the lay-out of the building. "A source said the company would have to invest £30m in new presses in Liverpool, but by transferring printing to Oldham it would spend £7.5m on an upgrade....
