		<description>I couldn&#039;t agree more. I used to be an NUJ member, but tore up my membership when I realised that they offered little or no support to online journalists like myself.

In fact, they were openly hostile to the web, often treating it like it was &#039;the enemy&#039;, that somehow it was responsible for the demise of newspapers, rather than the hopeless media barons who have no idea of how to adapt their businesses.

The sooner the NUJ gives up on their 1970s ideals and supports journalists who are no only working in the 21st century, the better.</description>
